My business is just starting out so we are on a budget when it comes to travel. Unfortunately, we also outsource a lot of our labor, particularly to freelance writers and programmers. This requires frequent one-on-ones from brainstorming sessions to QA testing. I think small businesses like mine can especially benefit from TeamMessenger with our work process clearly in mind. TeamMessenger costs little (for the first 3 people it is actually free) but is by no means barebones. In fact, it is fully-loaded with everything we need. Many comparable Web conferencing services not only lack some of these features but also charge a hefty subscription fee when all you can do is share PowerPoints and files. This is only one of the many features you will find with TeamMessenger. With so many people outside of the office integral to the success of my business, it is just awesome that TeamMessenger provides virtual team management that goes beyond instant messaging. It has a rich contact book that it easy to access. You can even add photos along with the profiles. You also get a presence indication/buddycheck feature that helps keep me focused when I’m working on other things. TeamMessenger is now indispensible to the growth of my business – improving communication, reducing hassle, and eventually saving my time for running the business. I recommend it for small businesses that have to constantly stay in touch beyond the office and phone.
